HomeI finally got around to revamping this web site a bit. I am experimenting with a couple of different things. Still a lot of work ahead of me; I just really don't have time between work and school. I built this in Dreamweaver and I am using Spry Accordion. Ideally I would like to turn the accordion vertically; I will re-address design later. I got the basic format right.
Just briefly about me; I just turned 37. I live in San Antonio. I live with my beautiful wife and our kids. I work as a Senior Systems Engineer for Rackspace Hosting in the RES (Rackspace Enterprise Services) Department.
My primary responsibilities include mentoring other Systems Engineers in the Enterprise Services Department and serving as a technical engineer and consultant for several of Rackspace's enterprise class customers. I architect and maintain highly available solutions including advanced load balancing, network security, and database solutions. I work with my customers as an extension of their information technology and infrastructure services teams addressing issues proactively and as they occur; additionally, I work with my customers to plan for the growth providing direction for their existing environment at Rackspace as their company's needs change whether it is growing their environment, allowing Rackspace to take on more of their information technology needs, or right sizing their environment to ensure they are not paying for what they do not need. I am very passionate about what I do for Rackspace often pushing the boundaries on what Rackspace offers to deliver the systems that meet my customers needs.
